Last Updated & Effective Date: October 15, 2026

Voluntary Participation & Assumption of Athletic Risk

By registering on Leagueacy, checking the digital waiver acknowledgment, or participating in any league, tournament, open play, clinic, or event hosted on the platform, you acknowledge that sports involve inherent physical hazards and voluntarily assume all associated risks of injury, property loss, or damage.

1.Inherent Risks of Athletic Activities

Participation in organized sports activities—including but not limited to sand volleyball, indoor volleyball, basketball, soccer, pickleball, spikeball, softball, and other team or individual athletic events—involves known and unanticipated physical risks.

These risks include, but are not limited to: sprains, strains, fractures, ligament ruptures, joint dislocations, eye injuries, dental injuries, concussions, diving collisions with courts, poles, nets, or other participants, slips and falls, exhaustion, heat exhaustion, dehydration, unpredictable weather hazards, and heart-related complications. You acknowledge that such risks cannot be completely eliminated without jeopardizing the essential qualities of the activity.

2.Release & Waiver of Liability

In consideration of being permitted to participate in activities, use facilities, and register through the platform, you, on behalf of yourself, your heirs, assigns, personal representatives, and next of kin:

Full Release and Covenant Not to Sue:

You hereby RELEASE, WAIVE, DISCHARGE, AND HOLD HARMLESSLeagueacy Sports LLC (“Leagueacy”), participating member organizations, tournament organizers, league directors, referees, coordinators, court and venue owners, sponsors, advertisers, and their respective owners, officers, directors, employees, and volunteers (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or rights of action arising from personal injury, bodily harm, property damage, illness, or wrongful death, whether caused by the active or passive negligence of the Released Parties or otherwise, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

3.Medical Authorization & Emergency Care

You certify that you are physically fit and have no medical conditions that would prevent your safe participation in athletic activities. In the event of an injury or illness during competition or event attendance:

  • You consent to the administration of emergency first aid, CPR, and medical attention deemed advisable by event staff, coordinators, trainers, or emergency medical personnel.
  • You authorize emergency transportation by ambulance or paramedic services to an appropriate medical facility if deemed necessary.
  • You accept full financial responsibility for any and all costs, charges, or medical fees incurred as a result of such emergency medical treatment or transportation.

4.Code of Conduct, Rules & Facility Regulations

All athletes, coaches, and guests must adhere to the high standard of fair play, sportsmanship, and safety fostered by Leagueacy and hosting organizations:

  • You agree to comply with all official tournament rules, division bylaws, and referee/coordinator calls.
  • You agree to follow all posted venue safety signs, court boundaries, equipment regulations, and host facility rules.
  • Physical violence, abusive language, discrimination, unsportsmanlike conduct, intentional damage to venue property, or failure to heed safety instructions may result in immediate ejection and suspension without refund.

5.Photography & Media Release

You acknowledge that matches, tournaments, and events may be photographed, filmed, and live-streamed. You grant Leagueacy and participating sports organizations permission to capture and use your photograph, image, video likeness, recorded voice, and sports statistics in leaderboards, brackets, match recaps, platform marketing, and social media without compensation or prior approval.

6.Personal Property & Valuables

You acknowledge that you are solely responsible for all personal property, equipment, apparel, bags, electronics, and valuables brought to participating facilities. The Released Parties assume no responsibility or liability for stolen, lost, or damaged property at event locations.

7.Minor Participants & Guardian Consent

If a participant is under 18 years of age at the time of registration, this Agreement must be reviewed, acknowledged, and accepted by the participant's parent or legal guardian. The parent or guardian agrees to bind themselves, the minor, and their estate to all terms, releases, and indemnifications set forth in this Agreement.

8.Electronic Signature & Enforceability

You agree that checking the liability waiver confirmation box during account onboarding, profile completion, team check-in, or tournament checkout constitutes your legal electronic signature under the U.S. Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (E-SIGN) and the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA), with the same legal effect as a handwritten paper signature.

If any provision of this Agreement is found to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
