End-users (athletes, team captains, and tournament participants) opt in to receive SMS notifications via our secure web form during account creation at leagueacy.com/onboarding and event registration portals.
Step-by-Step Message Flow:
- The athlete navigates to the sign up form at
https://leagueacy.com/onboarding. - The athlete provides their name, email address, password, athletic skill tier, and enters their Mobile Phone Number.
- The user encounters an explicit, un-checked checkbox specifically dedicated to SMS text alerts with comprehensive disclosures.
- The user voluntarily checks the box to opt in before clicking “Create Account & Continue”.
- Consent is recorded with a timestamp and IP/account identifier in our database.
